Space Theme




I covered the ceiling in black paper.  That is not easy all by yourself!  The inflatable planets came from amazon along with the astronaut and spaceship!

Spaceship Song - sung to the tune "Itsy, Bitsy, Spider"

Climb aboard the spaceship, we're going to the moon.
Hurry and get ready, we're going to blast off soon!
Put on your helmet, and buckle up real tight.
Here comes the countdown, let's count with all our might!
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
BLAST OFF!

Flying Saucers

We used paper bowls and silver paint.  Once the bowls were dry and we glued them together, we glued sequins around the flying saucer for the lights!

Galaxy Dough


I used my regular play dough recipe and for the coloring I used the McCormick's Black Food Color and I also added some silver glitter!

The kids cut-out stars and made constellations!  This is the Little Dipper!

Space Sensory Table


I used black aquarium rocks, glow in the dark stars, and some black rocks (moon rocks) that I picked up on the beach.  I also got an astronaut kit and a tube of planets from amazon!
