I used candy from a game I have that they used to trick-or-treat with!
The kids created the story together, and then we made a book!
We did talk about the phases of the moon, however we didn't do this project. I found it on pinterest, and I think it's a cool idea!
Each planet page on the right hand side was actually artwork that I hung in the playroom as we talked about each planet, we made the planet. The description on the left hand side are the facts we learned about the planet. The last page is actually the picture that we used on our Reach For the Stars bulletin board.
I blew up the balloon inside the bag and they let them go! The longer skinny balloons would work a lot better than the round ones!
We used grocery bags for the suits. The kids painted them all white and then I had to use hot glue so the 2 liter bottles would stay.
These came from Oriental Trading. The kids decorated the things that are hanging with bingo blotters. I don't usually order stuff like this, but I thought these were too cool!
I used a lot of pillows and covered them up with a sheet (that just happened to be space) and the kids walked on it. So walking on the moon would feel like walking on pillows!
