 We made shapes, houses, people, etc.... with Q-tips!  Great for fine motor skills and it kept them busy for a long time!

Cottonballs are great for sensory and fine motor skills!  They like to see how many they can fit into a container and use tweezers to pick them up.

Spooky Surprise Playdough Mix

This is what I made the kids for Halloween.  It is the dry mix to playdough.  I mix in some powdered orange kool-aid, so when they add the liquid ingredients it instantly changes color (that's the surprise!).  I give them each a Halloween cookie cutter too!  Once they make the playdough, then they have an airtight container to keep it in.  I couldn't find the orange ones they always have at Halloween, so I had to settle for red.  It was driving me crazy, but oh well!

Five Little Leaves Song

Five Little Leaves

Five Little leaves so happy and free,

Hung from the branch of a maple tree.

The wind came whistling all around (kids be wind).....,

And one little leaf came tumbling down.

(Countdown until all the leaves are gone!)

I cut-out five leaves and I hold them like I'm the tree and everytime the "wind" blows, I let one go.

I love to decorate for Fall!

 Collecting Leaves and Sorting them into piles by their shape and color!

Cut leaves out of coffee filters and then we used watercolors to paint them.

Apples

We read, "Ten Apples Up On Top" and then we stacked beanbag apples on our heads to see how many apples we could get up on top!  I made the beanbag apples with felt, beans and a hot glue gun.
