How Do You Keep Babies Busy?

Bowls, Spoons, and Ice Cubes!

Ugli Fruit Sensory

Have you ever wondered what an ugli fruit looks like inside?

 Well here it is!

The inside peels out very easily!

This is how the kids described the ugli fruit:
Sight - "It looks like a big pear."
Touch - "It's squishy."
Smell - "The outside smells like a flower" and "The inside smells like an orange."
Taste: - "It tastes like a grapefruit".

We also learned that ugli fruit comes from an island called Jamaica!

Yoga Babies!

The babies LOVED the big yoga ball!  They kicked it and rolled it and I sat them on top of it and bounced them!  A fun indoor large muscle activity on a cold rainy day!

Upside Down Biscuits

First you need to cut pineapple chunks into smaller pieces.  Really your supposed to use crushed pineapple but I thought the kids would like to "cut" with plastic knives.

Add 1 tsp. butter, 2 tsp. brown sugar, and a spoonful of pineapple in each muffin tin space.

Cover each with a refridgerated biscuit.  Put in oven as directed on biscuit container.

This is what they look like when they are finished baking.  Let them cool for about one minute....

And flip them upside down onto wax paper!  They are so yummy!  They actually taste like pineapple upside down cakes!

Names in Playdough!

They did their names all by themselves!  I put all the letter cutters in the middle of the table and they did the rest!

Eating Mud Pies

I used the graham cracker mini ready crusts and the kids scooped chocolate pudding (mud) into the crust!
