Today we read, "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie".
We made chocolate chip cookies! They each took a turn adding an ingredient. Then we had a cookie for snack....with a glass of milk, of course!

We needed someone with strong muscles to stir in the chocolate chips! Luke stepped up to the challenge.

We whipped up some pancakes for today's activity!

The Reading Race Car

I bought the race car at a garage sale for $15. It is actually a toddler bed. I made pillows to fill it and we use it as our Reading Race Car during Reading Month!

I let them take turns napping in the race car! Doesn't it look so comfy?

We went on a Safari!

I pulled the shades and turned up the jungle sounds and we went on a safari! We had to be very quiet so we didn't scare the animals away! We even survived the rain storm! We used our binoculars we made and I bought all of them a safari hat to wear on our adventure. They had so much fun!

Animal Cracker Box

This is why I said to save the animals cracker boxes. We say this little poem at circle time and the kids take turns picking the animals out of the box! If you click on the image you can read the poem.

Belle enjoying our frozen banana snack! We put the banana on the stick and put it in the freezer. It only took them 30 minutes to freeze! Then we dipped the top in chocolate!

These are the binoculars we made for our safari. We painted two toilet paper tubes black. I stapled them together and added some yarn.

Mikey the Monkey

Mikey the Monkey came to visit us for Dental Health Month. He brought along his new toothbrush that he got at the dentist!
